Dion and Patty White are the dedicated founders and owners of 229 Outfitters, built upon Dion's lifelong passion as an avid hunter and outdoorsman who considers the woods his home away from home. Bringing over 10 years of experience managing hunting properties for others, Dion achieved his goal of owning his own property. He has also served his community for almost 30 years as a Firefighter/ Paramedic, and is known as an outstanding man, father, and grandfather. Patty, who spent 27 years as a banker, now serves as a Bookkeeper and a Property Manager of a local company with over five years of experience, and while she loves the beach, she has grown to love the outdoors through this opportunity. Lifelong Christians, Dion and Patty put God first in all things. Their favorite titles, whether hunter, fishman, or at the beach, remain "Dad and Mom" and "Poppa and Guh Guh". Their family includes their oldest daughter Beth McGhee, a professional photographer with "Ivey and Oak Photography," and her husband Grant, a member of the National Guard and a practice manager at Tanner Hospital; they have two sweet children, Ivey Jane and Grayson. Their youngest son, Wes White, is also a Fireman/AEMT and avid outdoorsman, and he and his wife Kaci, a stay-at-home mother, have a newborn son, Kolter. Now you've met the owners but where does the name "229 Outfitters" come from ?

The number "229" holds profound significance for our family, as it represents the badge number of Sergeant Rob Holloway of the Carrollton Police Department. Sergeant Holloway was tragically shot during a pursuit, while serving in the line of duty on April 12, 2021. This name is dedicated to honoring his courage and the daily sacrifices made by all public safety personnel who risk their lives for the welfare and protection of our community.

Injuries and Recovery:

Officer Rob Holloway and his wife, Stephanie Holloway, began their journey together as high school sweethearts and have now been married for 23 years. Stephanie has dedicated more than 20 years to various roles in the field of education.
Rob and Stephanie have a 22‑year‑old son, Grady, who is also pursuing a career in education. Grady and his wife, Avery—who is likewise an educator—are in their first year of marriage.
The Holloway family holds a special place in our hearts, and we consider them as close as our own family.
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13
"Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. And they divided up his clothes by casting lots." Luke 23:34
